Full restaurant refurbishment and improvement works, including interior decoration, painting, lighting upgrades, electrical alterations, installation of dedicated power supplies for hotpot tables, minor joinery and finishing works, and coordination of the final restaurant fit-out.
The electrical installation included dedicated circuits for the hotpot equipment, with individual power supplies designed to provide a safe and reliable electrical system suitable for continuous commercial use.
Challenges
The restaurant is located on Bridge Street in central Cambridge, where access, deliveries and working space are restricted. The project also required careful planning of the electrical installation due to the high power demand from multiple hotpot tables.
All works had to be coordinated efficiently to minimise disruption and keep the refurbishment programme on schedule.
Solutions
We carefully planned material deliveries and site access to suit the restricted city-centre location.
For the hotpot equipment, dedicated electrical circuits were installed rather than relying on standard restaurant socket circuits. The electrical layout was designed around the actual equipment load, providing a practical and reliable solution for daily restaurant operation.
Decoration, lighting and finishing works were coordinated alongside the electrical installation to reduce delays and allow different trades to work efficiently.
Client Feedback
The completed refurbishment created a clean, modern and functional restaurant environment, with the electrical infrastructure required to support the specialist hotpot equipment and the demands of a busy commercial kitchen and dining area.
